He doesn't play defense and he doesn't create offense for teamates. SO....he good, but one dimensional. If he ain't scoring 30, he ain't helping you win.

Carmelo is a good player, especially in the offensive side of the floor. He is not afraid to take the shots and could rise up when in need (look at who's scored consistenly in the US team that finish third in the Worlds).

He is still young though, and can still develop an all-around game.

Pistons - No, he doesn't fit in a well-balanced offense system that the Pistons have.

Suns - He'll do well there because Steve Nash can find him on his sweet spots.

Mavs - Probably, because the Mavs need a closer like Melo.

Lakers - If Kobe's still a Laker, no. If Kobe's not, then yes.

Melo is a very talented player with great scoring instincts. He's also a good rebounder so he's very much a 20-10 guy. Yes, he's overrated in a way because despite his skills and athletic ability and the way he fills the stat sheets every night he could not carry his team beyond the 1st round of the playoffs. His batchmates Dwyane Wade and Lebron James have led their respective teams to the finals, with Wade getting his ring in '06. For sure he can fit with any team because of his immense talents. However, he's got to develop that mental and competitive toughness to reach greater heights.

Melo deserved to win the rookie of the year award. He was better than LeBron and Wade during their rookie season. Yes, he is that good. He is one of the best clutch players in the NBA. I forgot the site but they listed Carmelo ahead of Kobe and Wade during clutch time.

Carmelo is the second coming of Kobe Bryant. He has the talent but is more of a self-centered player who doesn't understand team concept anymore than Shaq could shoot free throws.

He is talented but not s good as Dwyane, Lebron, or even Chris Bosh. I think he is just riding their fame since they are considered to be the top three players to come into the league in a long time.

He is a scorer. He'll rack up 20+ points and you won't remember how he got them. He's not much of a leader. He will shoot in clutch but thats about it. He's just an efficient scorer.

I am not impressed. I would have to say that he is overrated, and that 'Melo is a homo nickname besides.
