Well I am trying to figure out what the little sound effect used is from, the song is called (Pimp) Strut and is on his The Surving Elements cd. Anybody know the answer, I think it might have been sampled from a Curtis Mayfield song, but not sure. HELP!

Just found out, the song I was thinking of was Give Me Your Love by Curtis Mayfield from the Superfly Soundtrack!

AH, Im so frustrated- I usually know these things! I collect originals. I have a version by Barbara Mason called Gimme your love, but I know someone else did it first. I believe it was either Issac Hayes or Barry White. Snoop sampled it in an interlude on his 1st album Doggy Style.
