Depending on your location, there are many teams spread world wide. find one nearest you and treat it like a job. most will train you on the job if they are looking for someone. Most teams are not paid but some are is something you should ask up front. If they are not taking anyone ask if they know of another team that may. In a lot of cases teams help each other out. The thing is you have to be out there and letting people know your interested.
Best of luck.

If your interested in going on/doing investigations then I recommend finding a local paranormal group and join them.If your only wanting to be in a group but not active you can join any group. But mostly everywhere there is a local paranormal team.It all depends on where your located.Best advise is to either do a yahoo search by typing in something like"your city/state and ghost hunter.Or anything of that sorts. Also go to yahoo groups, and do a search for your local area.Good luck in your hunt.Happy hauntings.

First you gotta find one. Then all you have to do is give them a call, or email them. You can probably find several ghost hunting teams on myspace or facebook in your town.

The best advice I can give anyone on conducting a paranormal investigation is this:
1.Research
2.Research
3.Research
4.Research
5.Accept the fact that despite all your Research, you know nothing.
This field is theories, long hours, sometimes days without sleep. In the end, all we have are educated guesses guised as possible answers. "He who knows everything, truly knows nothing".
Be true, be tireless and good luck!!

Just make your own team. If you have that much time and money. You can actually put out your ad on phone book or something so people can call you if they suspect haunting.

How to be a ghost hunter in 5 easy steps:
1.) Become very, very, very credulous.
2.) Look for a team or form one of your own. No qualifications are required. In fact, any formal education or scientific background can actually be a detriment.
3.) Use equipment you aren't qualified to use for a reason not intended by its designers.
4.) Look for something you aren't immediately able to explain. Any anomaly will do.
5.) Rather than make an attempt to attribute presence of said anomaly to a natural cause, assume it is supernatural in nature. Assume anything else you see that can't be immediately explained is a ghost.
Congratulations! You're now a ghost hunter.

Find one. Join.
How much experience do you have? There is a lot you should know before you start.
