Ok. So i watched this movie on TCM...and don't know the title of it, but really want to watch it again. The basic plot line is, there is this rich man who cannot get close to anyone because he's afraid he's going to go insane like his brother...

One of the key moments in the movie is when this man talks to his ex-wife and says that he won't have any more naked girls running around in furs and won't stay in hotels anymore. All he wants is her..and i think the guy's name was Noah. I"m not sure. In the movie, this guy also makes a movie called, "the girl upstairs" hope that's enough details..

erm. he was a director. He was also into building planes. The movie was definitely in color.
also...there was this part where "noah" gets up after a bout of drunkeness, and the woman helping him says that the irish are sentimental about drunks and she asks to give him a little sermon..

Oh, and he was involved with three main women.
His first wife, whom he pushes away by cheating with a movie actress..
This movie actress, who dies when she drives drunk
And then this hooker girl whom he makes into a star
When he asks the hooker girl to marry him, she wants to admit about this dirty movie she made. But noah says he doesnt care, she's dirty, and thats all he deserves, and then she runs away.

Sounds very, very familiar...
While I bang my head, please try to remember: was the movie in color? Was "Noah" an actor or a director? What decade (more or less)?
Any other detail will be of help...

Edit:
Ahhhhh! Thank you!
Try "The Carpetbaggers"
www.imdb.com/title/tt0057917/
hehehehe... He has a Biblical name, indeed... :-)

Wish I knew. Maybe you could get on imdb's
site and ask around. Believe it stands for
International Movie Database...

I'm curious, and I'll keep watching this for the answer.

Sounds rad-interesting despite its being "obscure".

< And thanks for nudging us aware.
