What kind of place would New York be right now if Rudy Guliani was never elected as mayor?

I lived across the river in New Jersey before Rudy. NYC was a cess pit.

While economic factors did much for the cities improvement there is no doubt in my mind that Rudy had much to do with its radical change. It is indeed a different place altogether than it was before him (and for the better at that).

If Rudy had not been the Mayor...it would probably still be a cess pit no reasonable person would want anything to do with,

I clearly remember NYC before Giuliani... drug dealers openly selling there "wares" on the sidewalks of Manhattan... or walking up to folks and whispering, "I got cocaine". I think NYC is much cleaner and safer thanks to Giuliani's time as mayor.

new york city has always been corrupt....without giulliani, there would be more porn stores...that is about it...he is corrupt, but aren't they all
