You would almost certainly have to upgrade the power supply. Also, there are low-profile models of the dc7700CMT so in those cases you'd need to track down a low-profile card.
I wouldn't dwell too much on the 768mb- higher core and clock speeds with 512mb would be fine.

Gaming performance is not much dependent on the size of the videoRAM. Awesome performance comes from better GPU architecture (more shaders or stream processors, the better) and fast v-RAM (ddr3). For the same type of GPU, 256Mb ddr3 will always beat 512Mb ddr2.
If your 365 watts power supply has a strong +12V rail (>15 amps), it might be able to handle the 7600GT (36 watts). Otherwise, just stick to a 7300GT ddr3 (25 watts).
