You still need to have a pap smear done even though you had a hysterectomy. When they do the pap smear on women who have had hysterectomy they are doing it to check for vaginal cancer, not cervical.
I would recommend still seeing a gynecologist for this but check with them next time you see them again next to see what they say about letting the primary care physician doing the pap smear instead.

Your family physician may do the examination, but in some instances they will refer you to a gynecologist. It depends on the physician. You might want to start with your primary care provider (physician).

The good old family dr - he should do the usual lung , abdo , eyes . You dont need a vag or anal check so relax . He should order blood test for the usual cardiac cursors and glucose .
