This is business math. Please help and explain a little. I cant seem to get the equasion.

1) rusty reft who lives in territory 5, carried 10/20/5 compulsory liability insurance along with optional collision that has a $300 deductible. rust was at fault in an accident that caused $3600 damage to the other car and $900 damage to his own. Also, the couts awarded $15,000 and $7000, respecitively, to the other 2 passengers in the other car for personal injuries.

How much will the insurance company pay?

and what is rusty's share of the responsibility?

Rusty must pay $300...the deductible ......the insurance company pays the rest!

The insurance will not pay for the court-awarded personal injuries. The insurance will pay for the damange to the cars less the deductible, which is 3600 + 900 -300 = 4200.

Rusty will have to pay 22,000 for the personal injuries plus $300 (his deductible) to fix the cars.

This is the marriage forum...not the homework forum. And I would also suggest checking out an English class...it's spelled E-Q-U-A-T-I-O-N.

Given the current state of the insurance industry, Rusty would have to pay at least $1,000,000 because he's going to be sued for everything he owns, and his family owns, and he'll have to do jail time for negilgence for injuring the people and destroying their proterty. The insurance company will drop him like a hot neutron bomb and when he gets out of jail, he'll end up living in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere.
