I dislike him because he tends to blame everyone but himself for things. I've said all of this before, but he put down Phil Jackson in public. I call that punking out your coach. And this wasn't just some first year coach, this was Phil Jackson. I'm not a big fan of Phil either, but he's a great coach. He totally ratted out Shaq about the cheating on his wife thing and then told people he just pays off his women. That is so messed up. When his team fails he essentially blames it on them. Sure, he may be right, but when Lebron's team fails, Lebron never blames anyone except himself or the whole team including himself. Kobe tends to just blame every BUT himself. For this reason, when I compare Lebron and Kobe, Lebron is a champion in my head. I don't hate Kobe, but these are the reasons I don't like him. Sure he's a great basketball player, but that can only go so far when you are arrogant and cold as Kobe. Jordan was pretty arrogant as well, but his team won way more, he knew how to handle himself off the court and he didn't help to drive away other great players. No matter what Kobe says, he could have kept Shaq in LA. All he had to say was he would leave if Shaq wasn't signed and Buss would have re-signed Shaq that second! Kobe just wanted it to be HIS team and wanted LA all to himself. His ego is too big for his immaturity right now. Jordan had a maturity that could handle his ego. Kobe needs to humble himself and remember that even though he might be one of the greatest basketball players ever, that's all he is. He's no doctor saving lives, he's no police officer protecting people with their own lives, he's no Bono spreading great music and goodwill to enhance this world. All he is is an amazing basketball player and not much anything else. There are many other little things, but these are the basics. He has not made his team any better since Shaq left and this is very telling. He's close to being a great team player, but until he learns how to be a leader to HELP his team not hurt it, people are going to continue to hate on him and rightfully so.

Some of it has to do with jealousy, and most of it has to do with his personality. After he forced Shaq out of LA, people started seeing him as a ball hogging Jordan wannabe. I think that Kobe's biggest haters will never be convinced that he is the best player in the NBA or all-time even if he happens to win a championship one day. And if he does, he most likely would have done it because he had another star on his team. Then, it s also easy to hate anyone who is making millions of dollars to play a game that he loves in a big city, and whose General Manager and head coach does whatever he asks like a spoiled rich child born into a royal family.

Kobe embodies almost everything that's wrong with the NBA.
-He was said to be "uncoachable". You can quote Phil Jackson on that one.
-He was accused of rape and is an admitted adulterer.
-He is selfish and has a "lust" for scoring. Another one you can chalk up to Phil Jackson himself. The guy honestly does not mind 17-47 shooting nights...he's had many just like that.
-He openly disrespects teammates by saying things like, I need help, I feel like a one man show, these guys aren't good enough, and demanding to be traded if changes aren't made.
-While being interrogated by police Kobe threw Shaq under the bus by saying" Shaq pays off his women all the time". Who wants a teammate like that?
-Kobe Bryant has obviously copied Michael Jordan so much, that he even sounds like him in interviews.
He's basketballs equivalent to Terrell Owens. And who likes Terrell Owens? No one! Hope that answers your question.

You should really ask why does Kobe create so many
haters.
Answer may be that the haters probably don't like that
he is making the team lose. And the he is pointing the
finger at others for every thing that goes wrong, instead
of accepting some blame.
Major reason however is his ego selfish attitude.

Because he's a ball hog, who cannot carry his team, and i don't mean that his team is the one to blame because they're not good enough, it's just that look at Andre Miller...w/ da Sixers now...even tho they're not contender status yet, he has that pick up attitude that can make a crummy team competitive...Kobe is a scoring title winner one month, then for two days, he'll try to be Magic Johnson and try to dish out (last years playoffs w, PHX)...and this is considering his professional NBA ability...this doesn't take into account his **** of a personality and God-complex...he can't carry his team...mentally or actually

Because the world balances itself.
When you had Yin then you will have Yang. Positives and Negatives.
Because there are lot of Kobe lovers out there too.
