I personally don't use pad because it made me feel like I peed myself. What I do is get a tampon and wear a panty liner. If you where pads, I would wear the always or kotex brand. You can also buy fenimine wipes to clean yourself. Hope this helps! =)

Always ultra thins regular with wings, it has a yellow package. These are by far the BEST maxi's out on the market, espicially if youre tiny, because they flex and blend right in with your panties. I had other ones like the Kotex brands and they are soo bulky and made me itch. Both me and my mom had issues with irritation with all the other brands. Since I moved out 10 years ago, I still buy only those and Tampax pearls for tampons. The wings take a bit to get used to, but they keep mistakes and leaking to nil.

Always with wings are great. You can also purchase personal wipes in the same department as the pads.
Just bathe normally, use the wipes when you feel you need to and do NOT ever douche. Very bad for you for many reasons.

If you're comfortable with it, use tampons. They keep you feeling dry and you don't have to have that gross feeling between your legs.
