My fiance has extreme pain when she has her period. She has always said it is bad but the last few months has said it has become out of hand. I have asked her to go to her obgyn but she is afraid to. She is convinced to go if it happens again. We are in our late 20s so it's not like menstrual cramps are new for her. Anyway my question is does anyone know what this might be and if they have had similar symptoms? Anyway being that I'm worried I couldn't wait to get some answers. Thanks

It COULD be endometriosis, from what I know can be a minor thing. The treatment is sometimes just taking the pill (for medical reasons as opposed to contraceptive reasons) as it can relieve the symptoms. Here is some more information about treatment

It could be something more serious though and is worth checking out. Women should go once a year to the ob/gyn even if nothing seems "wrong". Not pleasant, but nothing to be scared of. It's scarier to not get things checked out and wind up with a problem later that can't be helped or fixed than to just go now and see what's up.

I had bad pain when I was in my teens but it eased up in my 20's. I'm 25 and I just had the most horrible period ever with pain for about 10 days, and I found out I had an early miscarriage. My doc thinks there might be more to it so I'm having an ultrasound this week. Your fiance should get it checked out asap to prevent any problems having kids in the future. It could be any number of things, or it could just be hormones.

you would be able to desire to stumble on a greater advantageous physician. If all he/she has accomplished is provide you discomfort meds then you like a 2d opinion. I had to apply the delivery administration tablet from the time i grew to become into 13 till I had a hysterectomy 2 years in the past (19 years entire) as a results of fact the discomfort grew to become into so extreme and bleeding grew to become into so heavy, I had endometriosis. there are a number of stuff that would reason discomfort (which isn't widespread) in the time of a era, yet you heavily want a greater advantageous physician. do no longer panic or freak out, yet do communicate on your father and mom and bypass come across a great gyno. good success!

This pain requires her to see her OB/GYN to have them evaluate this further. She can ask that the appt start off with being in plainclothes before they do anything. This is going to be especially important if it's been a while. If her dr is really good they will do everything they can to help make her feel comfortable and when it comes to the exam explain everything they are doing as they do it.

I started having problems with my female area in my late 20s and it turned out one of my problems was endometriosis.

I had cramps like this. I was double over in pain and I'd get sick from them. They were so terrible. My doctor put me on the birth control pill and they were about 50% as strong. They still hurt like hell but I'd take half the pain over what I had to go through before.

I had a girlfriend who moaned during her cycle and would lean over from time to time from the pain. She ended up having uteral fybroids and had them removed along with other body parts.

I suggest your fiancee get checked out for fybroids just to be safe. Nothing to get worried about, but I have a relative who might have uteral fybroids too.

Sorry, us men can sympathize only so much, but we will never understand. Be patient and support your love of your life.

I have a friend like that. Just go to a regular GP. They can prescribe drugs specifically for cramps. If that doesn't work, there is always the pill. :)

Could be Pelvic Inflamatory Disease (my sister)
Could be Endemitriosis and/or Fibroids (both my sisters, and me)

and for one of of my dear friends it was both ovarian and cervical cancer due to human papaloma virus

She is NUTS to not go the GYNO

I think that she should go to her GP, make sure to get a pregnancy test, but until then try buscopan, it really does help.
