Imagine you had a magic pen and everything you wrote with it came true after it was printed in the papers. What would you write about South Africa?

The unemployment figure has reached a virtually 0% percent point. Economic growth has reached a sustained level off 12%. The backlog of homeless people needing housing has been cleared.The battle against Aids and HIV has been won. A 100% literacy rate has been accomplished for South Africa.Free education is now available to all South Africans.South Africa's neighbours to the North are politically stable and has growing economies.South Africa has a positive trade balance and is internationally debt free.The SA police force have to be reduced because crime levels has dropped dramatically to a level where only petty crimes need to be investigated.
It is a bit far fetched, but one can dream can we not?

South Africa, a leading example to other countries! Proof that the races can work together, respect each other and built a better nation! With no unemployment, starvation or crime, South Africa is on a whirlwind climb to being the most enlightened and powerful country the world has ever seen!

After winning the UK Lotto, SA citizen MB1810 has made a generous contibution towards furthering the fight against Crime in South Africa.

One week later.....

After a drastic drop in crime in South Africa over the past week MB1810 has decided her work here is done and has gone into an early retirement.......

i have a degree in journalism, and worked for several newspapers before leaving that industry.

i enjoyed my weekly column at the one newspaper i worked at, because i had carte blanche on my choice of subject matter.

i generally ended up moaning about pretty much everything that bothered me.

the column was quite popular, and i received a few awards and nominations for it.

The death penalty is back, no more name changes, lots new houses to be built with new jobs being created, some new leaders and qualifications necessary to get a job.

There are lots of broken families, shattered lives... all because of greed, racism (both ways), violence, and poverty.... we are a broken country, trying to pick up the tiny pieces of life.
oh maybe I should write a poem... :)

My paper would be out of business if I had such a pen....(there'd be no crime to write about "thank goodness")

Then I'd start writing for a mens magazine... hmmm, one woman, one pen, millions of men?

well since all the newspapers is going to report on basically the same stuff ( no crime ........) mine will say:

Lotto reinstated!

First 30 million rand winner ...... Sweet-Angel!
