Well I don't think there is any possible way to use Gary for a girl and not have it sound weird. Were you thinking as a middle name for a boy?
How about:
Nathaniel Gary
Joshua Gary
Andrew Gary
or if you really wanted it use it for a girl too just for namesake and because it means so much here are some alternatives as well:
Ashley Gary
Rylie Gary
Haley Gary
You are lucky because Gary is also a last name so you can use it as a middle name for either gender.

I'm sorry to hear about Grandpa . . . . I wish his a speedy recovery . . . .

I don't wish to be harsh - however, Garyonna is an appalling name! Is there any other name that would honour the regard that you have to Grandpa?

Garyonna, I'm afraid, sounds like the combination of Gary and Donna - both names that in the UK conjure up images of chavvy council estate teenagers - and I am sure that's not the mind's eye picture that you are aiming for! It also sounds SO made up and smacks of being a bit too desperate.

Take a look at a baby names book or website and, depending on Grandpa's middle name or even his father's name or another family name, I am sure that you will come up with an improvement on Garyonna . . . .

Best of luck!

Garyonna - What do I think?

I don't care if it is a boy or a girl, it looks horrible.

Why not choose to name a boy Gary? There's no real feminine form (maybe Geri? Geraldine?), but if Gary has a middle name, you might have a feminine form that you can give to a girl and still honor the relationship.

Definitely not Garyonna..at least not spelled that way...

Maybe Garionna. Or you could mix the letters a bit and spell it Graionna (Gray-onna).

For boys you could always call him Gary, Gray or variants of Gary which would be: Garrett & Gareth...Also consider the grandfather's middle name (if he has one).

The name means Spear rule. So you could do a name that mirrors the meaning as well. Some examples: Gari, Jaren, Geraldine, Jeren, Jerell.

Good luck!

My brother's name Is Gary. He wanted me to name my daughter, Garianna. I didn't. But, if I really wanted to name her after him, it would be an ok name.

I have a friend named Gari Shae. She never just went by Gari, it was always Gari Shae. Another friend, Tomi Sue. I think if you use both names, it's not too confusing if you're talking about a boy or girl.

I would say it was a girls name but I sorry it doesn't sound like a very nice girls name. How about putting a spin on Gary and if you have a girl call her Cary it sounds like Gary but isn't so masculine you could spell it a few ways as well.

Garyonna is not a name that should be used for any baby male or female. What about Gareth for a boy? If you go to a bookstore you will find heaps of baby name books. Sorry about your grandpa and I hope his health improves.

Personally I don't like it... Why don't you use Gary as a middle name for a boy and Garyonna as a middle name if it is girl.

It sound more like a girls name, but two names i suggest are Gayle for a girl and Garret for a boy.
