I'm sorry Ms. Top Contributor but you couldn't be more wrong with your answer. Playing with a guitar like what you saw on the video is nothing but pull-offs and hammer-ons. Nothing special and so very much doable (if you know how to do it). You should see how Steve Vai does his crazy pull-offs and hammer-ons.

I'd say that's pretty impossible...in order for the guitar to play, the strings need to be plucked. It was probably just background music. I know that some electric guitars are so sesitive that it'll make a sound when a fret is pressed, but to make a sound like that....the strings would have to be plucked.

EDIT: Okay I WAS wrong.....I do know about hammer-ons and pull-offs though, it's just that with all the songs I've ever played, the string is plucked before I hammer-on another note. I guess it is possible...I'll have to try that one day!

Very much possible. You can touch a guitar string anywhere on the fretboard and it will sound the note of that fret. Some players, like Stanley Jordan, play exclusively like this, being able to play two guitar parts at the same time.

It is VERY possible. Especially if it's done on an electric guitar with plenty of distortion and volume.

It's possible. It's called a hammer-on/pull-off technique. I use it a lot.
