what about the mom that works 40 hours a week and does the same thing as a stay at home mom.???

Hmmm...not sure what you mean by "does the same things as a stay-at-home mom", but I think BOTH kinds of moms have a difficult time in their own ways. I like being a stay-at-home mom, but it's no piece of cake, either. I DO think it's a shame when (some) working moms belittle stay-at-home moms, like we do nothing all day but watch tv, eat and scream at the kids...

My Mom was a stay at home Mom and she was priceless. It's hard to put a dollar value on someone like her, but I would say more then most other occupations pay.

Actually if you take all the jobs she does and the amount of time doing each, it would pay 100-120 thousand dollars a year. I remember seeing this in a magazine article about 3 months ago.

Doesn't matter what we think a stay home mom is worth because no one is going to pay her. I did it myself, and it's just like anything else. We trade time for money and money for time.

Priceless !! - what stay at home mums do with kids and everything along with it - does not have a price. Alot of work !

Since that is the hardest job in the world. take the salary of the highest paid job in the world and increase it at least 1000x. That might cover the half of it. But I doubt it.

Shes priceless! And should be treated like royalty by her spouse. Lots of affection, appreciation and respect! Sharing chores is not a bad idea either.
