would you go along with her or his looting ways, or would you try and get them to take up an honest occupation like... selling used cars, or telephone soliciting money, or.. wait a minute, maybe being a pirate is an honest occupation.
What are your thoughts on the matter?

I would work on the ship with them, and then when the ship is full of loot I would put them on an innertube and say Bon Voyage!

My thoughts EXACTLY! It's at least honest about being DIS-honest, right??

I always wanted to be a pirate, so I would have to go along with them. Want to join me? At least we wouldn't be telling lies to sell a car or harassing little old women out of there pensions. We would just be sailing the 7seas, and looting ships........

If the pirate were Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, I would join him in his looting ways in a second .... ;O) he just makes piracy too cool to resist.
But I think if any other of my friends turned to piracy, I would try to steer them back towards the car-selling/telemarketing end of things ....because you never know when an armada is going to show up, and that would be the end of my pirate friends! :O)

Heh, that reminds me of Steve the Pirate from the movie Dodgeball. Uhh, wouldn't you hafta live near the sea/ocean to meet pirates? Cause, I've never even met anyone who was a literal pirate since I don't live on the coast.

I think that the pirate should atone for each good man or woman killed by also killing a politician. Yin and Yang will then be in equilibrium and the plunder can be regarded as wages.

I have some strong feelings on the subject as it is a rather sore one for me. I've never cared for pirates. I think their clothes are ridiculous. They can all go right back out to the ocean and it would suit me.

Ye question is read and fully understood me hearty. I have read through ye question more carefully, and I am happy to tell ye that I will be able to help ye for sure. Please forward yer old cap'n instructions on how ye would like to continue, me old shipmate.

Will ye answer require old Sister Margaret to sail to yer harbor to answer the question? If this is that case, am I allowed to bring my trusty parrot Jim'lad with me? I cannot leave him at home ye see.

As ye will have guessed, I am a sailor by trade, but for many years I have been retired now. I don't have to tell ye how much pain yer old captain Margaret was in, and my sea dog superiors had me walk the plank to retirement AAAR!

Avast for now me hearty,

Sister Margaret
