I'm wondering how much your "significant other" loves you if he/she is willing to allow you to stay in a war-torn country like Iraq just so they can go to school. Iraq is a terrible and dangerous place to be now and I certainly wouldn't want anyone I love to be there. Get your butt safely out of Iraq and then find another "significant other" - this one definitely does NOT have your best interest at heart!

Your significant other understands this and still wants you to do it? Seems like he/she would be dying for you to get home.

I agree with the others - there are other ways to fund school without you having to make the sacrifice of staying that far from home and family. I vote go.

Thank you for your service.

Don't stay in Iraq.
That's is one of the worst places to be at this time.

Have you looked into the various federal & private financing options for school?

I'm borrowing my way through an Engineering degree right now.

You don't have to risk death and murder for her to get a college degree.

Find another way for the other to go to school. There are plenty of plans to help financially. Why keep your self in danger just so someone can go to school? That is nuts.
