SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Southern Baptists approved a resolution on global warming that questions the prevailing scientific belief that humans are largely to blame for the phenomenon and also warns that increased regulation of greenhouse gases will hurt the poor.
The global warming debate has split evangelical Christians, with some not only pressing the issue but arguing humans bear most of the responsibility for the problem because of greenhouse gas emissions. Other evangelicals say talking about the issue at all diminishes their influence over more traditional culture war issues such as abortion, gay marriage and judicial appointments.

We're all on this planet together and in this matter it would seem that our beliefs, more than ever, influence the lives of everyone else.
We need to consider our priorities.

Religions would much rather interfere in the behavior of individuals than the behavior of big business.
Failing to control greenhouse gases will affect more than just the poor if the scientists are right and I d rather put my"faith" in them than somebody who believes in what is probably a myth.

The answers to those questions depend on what group is hearing her speak. In general, she is pro gay marriage, pro abortion, and thinks global warming is real (not that it stops her from flying around the world on jets, using SUVs, or keeping a large home heated/cooled). If you want more information on Hillary, I recommend reading "The Truth About Hillary" for some real insight into the character of this conniving, lying, deceitful witch.

It is always wise to question alarmists. Those at the top whoes agenda is global warming aren't really worried about the Earth, they are worried about grabbing more power. The hippies who buy into this crap are empowering the very people who care least about our planet.
If your really concerned about the future of Earth you should be supporting NASA and private space travel, so we can do the best thing for Earth,... leave. Funny how those who support the global warming agenda the most, also hate space travel the most, as they see it as a waste of good welfair money!
I'm sure 99% of the socialist libs who are so worried about global warming are genuinly worried about the future of the earth and have the best of intentions, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions, right?
The modern Christians are split over a million things that would probably make Jesus' skin crawl on either side. I've never heard an evangelical sound concerned for freedom in the least in my life, makes me sad, as satan has them all fooled.
Global warming is just the latest fad, in the 60's it was global cooling. We humans haven't been taking accurate measurements long enough to know much about it either way, give it another 1000 years or so.

Religion has caused a lot of problems. I'm not saying it's right or wrong to believe in some sort of God, but just look at all the wars and conflicts that have been caused by religion.

There is growing number of 'green' evangelicals. But any time people use religion or God to justify their ideas, especially political ones(or involving politics), it can be somewhat dangerous.

A lot of Christians believe that the earth is a temporary place and will either be left for those sentenced to hell or, restored upon the coming of Christ whereas, sins against the Father are seen as being eternal.

Global warming is not an issue. The fact is that, while there is proof that, recently, the Earth has warmed and that CO2 levels have risen, there is no proof that:
1. There is a corollary between CO2 and temperature.
2. CO2 causes temperature increase rather than the other way around.
3. Humans are to blame for CO2 increase.
4. That the trend will continue to disastrous proportions.
Unlike what the media and their supposed "scientific consensus" says, we really have no proof, and thus not nearly enough reason to take the drastic measures needed to end CO2 production. It will cripple the world economies. (And China probably won't comply anyway.) I'd be more worried about the U.S. government causing World War III with their endless "War on Terror".

Global warming is the biggest scam in the last 50 years. In the last 100 years the earth's temp. has risen .7 degrees C. The same fools who are pushing this scam were screaming about a coming ice-age in the mid 70s.
