How much do you think people that work in prisons are paid monthly?

The guards and staff? Around $20 per hour, depending on the state and job.

The prisoners? Around $3 per hour, depending on the state. Now, as I understand it, the money is used at the canteen, with a certain percentage going to the prisoner's dependents and another percentage going into a fund for when they are released.

Way too much. I don't believe those in prison deserve anything other then the food, medical care and housing they've "earned." That is why its prison; not a work camp.
