I love having talks with my man that last all night long but, it was during one of these talks that he really made me wonder. He told me that when he was younger (17-18 area) he thought he was gay. His step-dad ended up finding a the letter to his "friend" and he was busted. He said that he was just confused with his life (he had so many abandonment issues with his father) but later got this straighten out. This is after I had slept with him already and it made me wonder, what if he really is gay but, is just trying to lead a "normal" life? Do you think I'll always just have to wonder? I have nothing against gay people, I just don't want my boyfriend to be gay!

well...its hard to say just by what you said bout him wonderin when he was young. people say that many get confused around this time in people's life, but im not sure if its true. im just came to accept myself for who i am--gay--but now that i look back, i noticed i hav always known really, but i just didnt want to accept it. i would say, the best way to know is to just ask him in the best possible way...and keepin and eye out for small gestures. he might be tryin to live a 'normal' life...like i did before i came to terms w/myself...but it wont last. i wasnt happy when i dated girls. i guess you can keep and eye out on what he enjoys doin the most....not to say that thinkin stereotypically works all the time, but most gay guys hav things in common...tv shows we like (will&grace), goin shoppin, talkin (which u already mentioned), music selections...just things of that nature.
still, the best way to go about this is to be honest. you two are in a relationship, which means, lots of communication will be required for it to work. sit down one afternoon and have a niced relaxed conversation. try to get him to explain why he was confused, or if he fantisised bout havin sex w/ guys at that time....let him know that it is okay to be gay. even if you dont want him to be one. if you love him/ care for him, you would want the best for him....and livin a false life is not good.

You should learn to communicate this to him.
Talk to him, ask him what he really feels.
I understand your frustration, that would frustrate me too....but I assume you two haven't been together all that long.
Get him to talk about it more...he sounds like he really trusts you...so don't spoil that by judging him. Be supportive, but know that if he actually realizes that he's gay...be supportive and don't shut him out.
He sounds really confused right now and looking for a compassionate person who he trusts to talk to about it.

how old is he now? 17-18 may be ages ago. everyone has a past. if he's dedicated to you&you trust him, you got nothing to worry about.

maybe he feels he can trust you with this confession of sorts
I don't think he's gay, unless he doesn't perform adequately, that might be a sign
