Never take a Lie detector test. They are not admissible in court. So there is no reason to take one. They're not proven effective enough even for the courts.

Oh they are just the funnest thing ever. You have to take one to get hired by most police departments nowadays and the fun doesn't stop there! You can also be forced to take one if somebody makes an accusation against you, etc.
That is one thing I don't miss about being a cop.. The 21 years of that were fun enough, but polygraphs are just a tool of the devil.

I did when I was bonded, never again, they only measure how nervous you are about the question and are only as good as the person giving it.
If you get the slightest bit nervous they think you are lying. And the measure a lot more than heart rate. Try breathing, skin resistance etc. Everyone thinks they can beat one but in reality it shows a lot of truth as lies.

I take them on a regular basis because of the work I do. Most people don't realize they are not 100% accurate but they are a good tool.

Sure, to see if I could beat it of course! Since it uses your heart rate to tell. I think I could, because I've gotten good at controlling myself when I lie.

i'd kinda like to take one but i have a lot of deep dark secrets so i'd be insanely nervous. i might take one for like some one that i trust like the man i marry but not for most of my friends and maybe my family either.
