Yes, although while your in school some of your hobbies won't be as main stream in your life because of all the studying you will be doing. But after you graduate, you can start to do more and more. And then after you've been at it awhile, a few years you will be able to have the money to take time of for doing the things you want to peruse.

yeah, but you have to put your passions aside.
I love my violin and piano, but I've only been practicing less than 2 hours a week to have time to study for all my classes and the upcoming MCAT. You can't sing, get the grades for med school, and go out at the same percentage, you will devote more time to school, and the rest of your time will be divided between going out and practicing. It's not an easy path. I hope it will be worth it in the end.
Best of luck to you!

Don't count on having a real life until you finish residency.
After you enter private practice, it depends on your specialty and how much time you want to put into your practice versus your private life.
I know a number of physicians with active private lives and widely varied hobbies. Lots of them are gun cranks, a few are avid hunters, one takes part in competitive barbecue events, another is active in the local theater, and a couple are in bands. None of them are exactly young though.

Yeah, why couldn't you. Unless you were an ER doctor, which as much as they are on call, it wouldn't leave much time for anything else. But yeah you could.

Why not. I know you won't be able to pursue anythingwhile you are in med school, but after that you can do as you please...after you pay off your student loans.
