Cornerback. You have to run as fast as receivers, only backwards, change directions on a dime, all while reading the QB's eyes.

The switch man in a 3-4 scheme.
He has to be able to play as a DE, with shed the blocks from an OT, rush the QB, and create havoc in the backfield.
Also, he has to have the speed and ability to play as an OLB, working in coverage of a TE or WR, or step up as a LB and take on the RB.

The reason more teams don't play this defense is that its had to get a quality player that can fill all the roles.

On many communities it may be the impressive offensive handle or the two offensive shelter. Their regularly occurring job is to plow forward interior the run interest so as that they might desire to be massive. some communities have an excellent left offensive handle this is incedental becaust the left offensive handle needs to be nimble first. in the event that they arrive across a guy who's nimble and he happens to be huge then this is all the greater advantageous yet being rapid on your ft is the greater important trait. On protection the the protective handle is the huge guy. He needs to be cumbersome to conflict the offensive guards contained in direction of the line.

I cant believe QB keeps getting posted.

It has to be linebacker. The speed to cover WR, RB and TE. The size to take on OL. The strength to get off blocks and make the tackle.
Did I mention the speed to chase down those oh so fast QB's. On alot of teams the intelligence to manage the defenses.

Alot of the most athletic players in the league play at defensive end. In the NFL today defensive ends are getting bigger and faster. You have 6-5 300 plus pound men running in the high 4.4 to 4.5 range.

Id say lineman in general, they have to bang and hit on every play, and are constantly getting stepped on, tripped, bitten, pinched, spat on every play. They do all the dirty work, so the pretty boy receivers, and QB's can do there job. The lineman makes the tema go round.

linebacker. you must be able to play 3 positons and also play lineman if needed and get back in coverge and chase tight ends and wide recevers. the great ones (ray lewis dick butkis lawerance taylor) had to be fast powerful hit hard smart enough to know when to go after the quarterback or the running back. and had to be the leader of the team/defense

Definately punter. Being able to come out for 1 play out of 30 and kick a ball 40 yards definately takes the cake.

Line Backer. You need the speed to run down running backs and cover receivers and the strength to shed the blocks of three hundred pound linemen and tackle the runner.

its definitely cornerback!they want you to be light enough so you can be fast enough to cover receivers who weigh at least 20-30 lbs more than you.the receivers knows where hes going, you dont.or you have to be strong enough to shed blocks from 300 lbs linemen on sweeps to tackle rbs who will weigh 20-40 lbs more than you, coming at you full speed after you figured its a run and not a pass.the only men who weigh less than you on the field are the kickers.and to make matters worse, when your in pass coverage trying to cover one of these muscle bound gazelles, you better not put your hands on him after 5 yards until he catches the ball.
