Does the time at which one sleeps negatively affect growth? I'm 15 and on some weekends or some nights over the summer I will sleep as late as 4 or 5 and wake up around 11 to even as late as 2. Is this going to significantly reduce how much I grow? Basically, is sleeping 8 hours from 12-8 any different from sleeping 8 hours from 4-12?

Also, if I am about 5'9, my dad 5'9, and my mom 5'3, how tall should I expect to be? I have grown quite a bit in the past year or so, but in the last 3 months I haven't grown at all. Should I worry that my growth spurt is over?

Thanks!

It doesn't matter "when" you get your sleep as long as your are getting sleep.

You didn't list your age in the question so I would have to say that you will most resemble in height what your Grandparents were...if they are the same height as your parents are...then you may be done. If you are not yet 22...then you may still grow some...I'm 6'1", My son is 14 and he is 6'2 and still growing...my father was 5'10" and his father was 5'11...

It all depends on where you are right now in your development, but I would worry about it...it will be what it will be...you cannot change it, so just eat right and get your rest...

At 15 you probably have at least one growth spurt ahead of you. You may need much more than 8 hours of sleep during a growth spurt. Three months is a fairly short time -- they are called "spurts" because they are irregular, and it's normal to have some resting time when you don't grow much or at all between spurts.

When you sleep may not matter to your eventual height, but it may matter a lot to how well you get along with your family. Try to be considerate and sleep when it doesn't inconvenience other people or interfere with their plans. If you have a job that requires odd hours, that's one thing, but sleeping weird times just because you can is not very considerate to the other members of your family. Learning to get along with the people you live with is an important part of growing up, and being an irritation to others for no good reason is extremely immature.

im 15 too, i hope that the time at which one sleeps doesnt affect growth..cuz if so maybe thats why im only 5'1 :[
idk i dont think it does affect it...because you're still getting the same amount of sleep.haha
my mom hates it that i stay up laaate and sleep in late, but i just tell her that im awake just as long as she is..its just that my day is shifted a little..ahaha.

also, you mayy not grow much more. it also depends on the rest of your family..not just your parents. both of my parents are 5'9, but look at me..im 8 inches shorter than the both of them!! plus, on my mom's side almost everyone is tall. but on my dad's side, the women are shorter (but still taller than me).
but dont think that you're short..because 5'9 isnt short for a kid our age..or short for anybody for that matter..its actually average. plus, you're probably still going through puberty..just eat really healthy, take vitamins and get a full night's sleep.

No it doesnt affect it. You are taller in the morning for some reason but I dont think that has anything to do with how much you grow
