Personally I don't think so. Even though I like things from classical to Hank Williams SR, Johnny Cash to the Beatles, Rolling Stones to DK, Ramones to Poison, Blues, Jazz, Big Band and even a lot of non-contemporary Christian Music I stop at most Pop or Rap.
I just don't understand it I guess. So in my mind I only like one type of music and that is "Good" music.

Well, my kids friends are amazed I know the words to some of the music they like. I grew up listening to and loving rock. heavy metal, alternative rock and punk. I learned to enjoy and appreciate classical music although it is not my first choice. I also love country music. So yeah, at 45 I would say it is a diverse interest.

Yes; I like music from all different decades, and all kinds... I can even appreciate "bad" music, or music that some may find unlistenable. I love just about all '60's music, especially "garage" bands, and even the sappy ballads and soundtracks from musicals! I love a lot of '70's music, even silly bubble-gum pop songs! But overall, my preference is straight-forward rock!
The only kinds of music I can't appreciate are contemporary country; and also newer bands that are watered-down versions of the bands that inspired them!!

I don't know. I am 21 and I like rock, classical, jazz, blues, classic rock, metal, and some rap music. The only thing I really don't like is country music, and that poppy crap, like brittany spears and what not. So I'd say it is diverse, but not as diverse as it could be.
