Eve Pearl, who is a well-known make-up artist to the celebrities, and the author of "Plastic Surgery without the Surgery: The Miracle of Make-up Techiniques", recommends using a Salmon colored concealer for dark circles under the eyes. Salmon which has some pink undertones to it, is a more natural color. If you use concealer, stay away from yellow colors. All this will do is take the blue circles under your eyes and turn them into green circles under your eyes. Your best bet for concealer is to go for a salmon type color or to get a color that is one to two shades lighter than your foundation. I've included the video where Eve Pearl states to use Salmon colored concealer in my sources. As for finding a concealer that's salmon with warm tones, I've never used it, but Eve Pearl does have her own line of makeup products with concealers that come in lighter or darker shades. It looks like most of her concealers come in shades of three, all similar to each other so you could use the shades for concealing or for contouring. Click on the second link to go to her products site, and the concealer is about half way down the page. Hope this helps!

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

I know that dilemma all too well. My daughter and I both have that problem. Most likely it is inherited. About the only way to handle this is to use a cover stick (solid or liquid); use a shade as close to your facial skin color as possible. Apply it after your moisturizer, but BEFORE makeup! Blend it in 'lightly', and use your fingers to blend it in an outward motion away from your nose. This should help and you will definitely see a big difference! Good luck!!!

brand name which I use for the purplish circles plus thin skin between my eyes and nose--
Dermablend Smooth Indulgence or Covermark which is used by burn patients and those with port wine birth marks. Get the specialist at the counter to help you get the proper color. At the high end stores at most malls.

This is true. If you look at a color wheel, orange is the total opposite of blue. If you have red on your face, you conceal it with green. If you have purple on your face, you conceal it with yellow. If you have blue on your face, conceal with orange (salmon is slightly orange). I'm not sure where to find salmon concealer, I've never had to use it. Sorry I can't be more help.

Use your light ones. After you put it on, you still nead to finish it with a powder or regular concieler.
None will ever make your skin the exact same color, but it will just reduce the appearance of your bagged eyes a lot.
