I was looking through a walmart flyer and I saw a little baby no older then 2 wearing a skimpy little bikini. Does anyone else find this disgusting? Today when I went to the beach I saw all kinds of little girls wearing skimpy little tight clothes.
What's wrong with these parents. Why do they let their kids dress like sluts?

Okay for those of you who think that there is something wrong with me to think that there is something wrong with a 2 year old wearing a bikini then there is something seriously wrong with you. I never said that the 2 year old was a slut did I. I said that "how could these mothers let their kids look like sluts"
God, what the hell is wrong with you people.

and when i said "why do parents let their kids dress like sluts" I wasn't talking about the 2 year old i saw in the flyer I was talking about these little 12 year olds who dress inapropiately. Maybe I should have been more clear.

Yes I do and I would never let a daughter of mine wear such a thing. Heck I wouldnt even wear one.

Edit: I dont think parents realize how many pedophiles go to the beach just to watch the kids.

Ugh... I hate it! I'm 15, and I have to admit, it is very disturbing. A skimpy can't be comforable for that poor baby! Too many places for those strings to get caught on and *pop* there goes that "adorable" $20 baby-bikini, or the child might choke on the strings, or beads that are attatched to the strings.
For girls between 5-18, it's not ok. But, I do think that if you are going to a private pool party, a bikini is alright, as long as it covers everything pretty well, and only if the girl is 14 and over, also, if there are not many boys there.
Being 15, the main reason why I'd dress older than my age (my mom only lets me do so much), is to attract a new boyfriend. I think girls are trying to "attract boys", and that's why they dress the way they do. They don't need boyfriends! Heck.. i don't even NEED a boyfriend! Yet,, I'm trying as hard as i'm allowed to to get one... I'm such a hypocrite. =/

But yeah. I do think it is wrong for little girls to be so fixed on their looks, and boys, and all that. Did you see that episode of Oprah about the three-year-old girl who was obsessed about her looks, and the four-year-old who was so obsessed about her weight that she'd MEASURE her servings. My question is.. Why aren't these little girls playing with dolls or watching Snow White? It's all kinda sad. That's what I did when iwas little. I watched Snow White and played with my dollies. I didn't even care about boys really until I was 12, and even then, I didn't try to "go after" them, or "look pretty for" them. I just gawked at them.

Haha! My answer's way to lengthy lol, but I have a lot to say.

Yes I think its wrong. Its disgusting what little kids these days are wearing. Half of them look like little hoars. 2 years ago my class had to help out with a grade 4 class, at least half of the girls in the glass wore make up and tight skimpy clothes.
When I was that age which would be 6 years ago, no one my age including myself dressed anything like that. Its disgusting what little kids are wearing these days. Class seems to have all but disappeared.

skimpy?? yes thats disgusting. I think its ok for a baby to wear a stylish 2-piece. my 2 year old has one but its more of a tankini with a matching hat. its cute. I believe that there are mothers out there that live through their children. They are unable to wear the cutsie stuff so they put it on their kids. Its not right but what can you do.

I think that is horrible, the Baby Bikini's I saw at the mall. Why would someone want their little girl to look like a grown woman. Especially with all the creeps in the world.

Yes and thank you!!! What are these parents thinking trying to make a child look sexy! It's ridiculous - girls have their whole adult lives to worry about being sexy but the message you give a child by dressing them in skimpy little outfits is that they are sex objects, and they ARE NOT! No child should ever be thought of as a sex object and I think it's perverse of Wal Mart to print such a picture!

Thanks for letting me rant - this kind of exploitation just pisses me off!

I don't agree with it, either. I know that some parents think it is cute to dress their little girls in kiddie versions of "adult" clothes, but there is a fine line that I think a lot of parents just hop right over. What is sad to me is that your children are little for such a short time and some parents want to make them mini versions of adults...what happened to little girls wanting to dress like princesses?? Now, they want to dress like Britney Spears...but then, it is what is being put out there for them to emulate...sad, really.

I think it is more the girls from age 10 onwards that are really dressing way too old for their age and trying to act way too old. I would like to know what has happened to all the "little girls," who used to play with dolls and be less concerned with their weight and image.

Yeah, I think that it is sick! I also think that people taking their children out in nothing but a diaper, or without shoes is trashy. What I find to be the most disturbing is when these parents put make up on their young children and make them look like little s****.
