Informed, aware, knowing, knowledgeable.
Ignorant simply means not knowing something. A mechanic may be knowledgeable about cars and ignorant about personal computers. It doesn't mean that they cannot learn aobut computers, just that they were never taught about them. That is different from stupidity where a person might never be able to learn something. Ignorance can be cured if a person is so inclined to want to learn different.

the opposite of ignorance is knowledge and awareness.though there are plenty of other words too which denote more or less the same meaning but technically/grammatically they are not the opposite of ignorance.
he is a very aware person
he is a very ignarant person
he has a lot of knowledge

The opposite is common sense. I think most people would say education, but a person can have a high degree of education and still be ignorant of ideas.

Re one of the above respondents, common sense can be ignorance. An illogical and uninformed view can be held commonly.
Opposite of ignorance is education, informed, aware, etc.
