youd think so considering the schedule for the rest of the month.. yanks get colorado, baltimore, and giants.
bosox get mariners, braves, and san diego.

in baseball, the teams are more evenly matched. i would say the Yanks go 7-2 in those 9 games, Sox go 5-4 and Yanks pick up 2 more games but will still be 6 1/2 behind.

I'm terrified they will. If they buy a couple of hot bats to replace Giambi and whoever else is not hitting well, they will exceed Boston's firepower, and starting pitching looks about even. Maybe Lester will come back and dominate. I'm sure he could be a good pitcher, but I don't know if he has potential to be great, and that's what it takes to hold down the Yankee$.
I'm old enough to remember 1978, so I won't make a fool of myself by writing off the Yankee$ in June like so many stupid Red Sox fans have done here.

I believe that they will, ever team goes through a slump in their season at some point, and we all know the yankees have went through theirs lol. If they dont i think they will be close and end up with the wildcard, because detroit/cleveland has to play within their division to much and i believe the central has more teams that are good enough that they can lose on any day.

The odds are against them even despite a recent winning trend Most teams including the Red Sox have had a winning streak at some point this season, but it doesn't last forever.
The Red Sox are very strong team with a lot of depth. It's June and just now the Yankees are getting their rotation in order. If they incur an additional injuries they could easily fall back in the standings.
Even with their schedule I don't expect them to gain much ground.

It doesn't matter if the yanks catch the red sox, when october rolls around
the yankees are going to realize the depth of Boston. Red Sox have superior pitching, they have an organized team. It's going to take more than Roger Clemens and rodrigez to beat the red sox.

No. Boston was playing their worst baseball of the season, and New York was playing their best, and the Red Sox, are still up by 8.5 games. There waves of a season, right now the Yankees are on a high one, but it will come crashing down to earth, at some point...hopefully.

the version is $40 six Million, the rationalization your roomate says that is via fact mutually as the version is huge, that is deceptive once you evaluate it to something of the league who has payrolls that particularly crack the $a hundred Million mark, mutually as the Sox and Yanks conflict it out close to the $200 million area

Yes the Yankees are. I am a Sox fan but... same thing happened last season. If they dont win the AL East, They GOT THE WILD CARD. Detriot and Oakland have no shot.

No chance in Hell unless the Red Sox get hit with a ton of injuries or something. The Yanks have a good shot at the wild card though (unfortunately).
