Any position will depend upon your field of study. National, state, and sometimes local governments will have positions suitable for historians.

Two choices available at the national level would be the FBI and CIA. Both organizations need historians for research and analysis.

For state historians, go to your local state employment office and see what type of jobs are available that you feel would need your skills as a historian.

Good luck!

art historians can often find employment in retail and fast food.

unless you've got a PHD in art history, dont expect to walk into a job in a museum.

often, people with art degrees or art history degrees are drawn towards teaching art, either in highschools, or as TAs in a university.
