I just had my car hailed on and I have quite a few minor dents on my car (hood, trunk, roof) I was wondering how they are going to remove the liner from my roof withour hurting the panels on the inside and my whole interior... Also how they will do the rest... Average cost?? Thanks!

They remove any side trim panels necessary to drop the headliner several inches to access the dents if possible---there are braces in the underside of the roof panel that may make it impossible to PDR some areas of the roof and it will have to be repaired with filler and repainted. Same thing with hood and trunk lid--if the dents are accessible, they can work them out from underneath or if not, have the hood and trunk lid repaired with conventional methods.Depending on how much damage and time to fix, PDR usually runs 75-200.00 per panel.

PDR is a viable repair procedure if done by a trained professional -- BUT, it's not magic and it's not 100% effective all the time. The techs remove interior trim, (including the headliner) and 'massage' the dents back out. There are situations that make it impossible to reach some dents like bracing or double-walled structural panels, etc. It's expensive but usually much less than 'conventional' repair methods that require repainting the damaged areas.
