I know people say that fear is there to protect you. I don't agree with that, caution is there to protect you. How do you let go of all fear so that you can live comfortably everyday without it taking control of your life all the time. Im talking fear in general like starting something new, driving a car, dying, fighting etc. There has got to be a way to shut it off. I know many people that can care less about anything. Help please

The only way to let go of all fear is to let go of all hope.

I went through the fear of dying about 40 years ago. It kept on my mind day and night and I was terrified and used to break out in a sweat. I used to think "why keep going" ... no, I never thought about getting rid of my life, I'd just think about it all day long.
Anyway and the years passed I didn't think of it at all. I kept thinking, maybe there really is something beyond what I'm doing now.
But yes ... .fear returned when I turned 55 and often wondered if I was going to reach my 56th. I also think about all those older people in their 80's and 90's and what "HELL" they must be going through realising that they might only have weeks, months or another couple of years. That to me would be terrifying.
Hey ... I don't think I answered your question .....
Ok .... No I don't think that you can let go of your feat ... I think it disappears without you knowing it's going.
Take care .... live life ...... have fun.

Keep doing the same stuff that you are afraid off and eventually your fear will go away. I have learnt it myself in a harder way. :)
I used to be afraid of going to school without doing my homework in earlier days, one day i didnt do, and I was so frightened and next day i continued the same and the third day, I have never cared for doing my homeworks, the same way driving, swimming etc....
But ensure that this is by no way doing some impossible things like jumping from a mountain of several feet etc.
Take care buddy

Stop caring about things, care as little as possible, if you don't care about how things turn out it won't be that big a deal. Kinda like - "If i don't go into work today, i'll get fired" but i'll be free to do other things.

"If this ride fails and comes off the tracks at least i will have gone doing something i wanted."

"If i ask this girl out what if i am rejected." - What if you asked and she said yes. If you don't care about the outcome but focus on the possibilities your free.
