Why would we go to war with China - do you think they want to be destroyed also?
What is with people and thier obsession with war? There has not been a war between two substantial powers in 50 years.

We wouldn't have to win that war. Since your are apparently ignorant of the delicate balancing act that is that part of Asia I will attempt to give a basic lesson.
Four countries. India, Pakistan, China and Russia.
Pakistan has troops on the Indian border (they don't trust or like each other), India has troops on the Pakistani and Chinese borders (again, no trust and no likey), China has troops on the Indian and Russian border (you guessed it, no trust and no likey).
None of these countries are going to pull the troops needed for an invasion from those borders (which even India and China would both have to do, regardless of population) because that would leave them open for an attack from one of the other countries.
If China does beat us it will be economically, not militarily.

Why on earth are you talking war with China. such a scenerio should never ever even be construed as plausible or even as something to be thought about. This country needs to get out fo the war mentality if we are going to survive as a country let alone as a planet. China has far too many problems of their own to engage in war. They have alot of poverty and I mean ALOT. They have huge problems with food contamination, pollution, soil contamination, and environmental issues that are costing their country alot in terms of resources and health costs. There is a lot going on in China that Americans don't hear about and alot of it is suppressed by the Chinese government and our media. The fact remains is that despite their growth economy, it is still not effecting the majority of people's standard of living in that country. If they don't change that soon, the government of China is going to have uprisings of their own to contend with.

First, all China can do is supply a few hundred million infantry. Their Air Force and Navy are a joke. So, the only war they can fight and succeed is a ground war. Wars haven't been fought and won that way in 50+ years. He who controls the skies, controls the war.
Starve them. It is well known that China does not grow enough food to feed it's own people. They import millions of tons of grain. A trade embargo and some herbicide on their agricultural lands would end the war very quickly. They'd have to pull soldiers from the front to squash uprisings from the starving masses.
Infrastructure. Blowing up all the dams on the Yangtze River would wipe entire cities and farmlands off the map.
Point being you don't have to land troops in China to get them to surrender. That entire war could be fought with airpower and cruise missiles. Imagine a billion people without food, clean water, electricity. telephones, bridges, seaports, and airports.

Wisdom is the way, total annihilation is not an option. It would be better to engulf their society in an economic way than by brute force. This is being attempted already. But if this fails and China draws swords rather than plow sheers it would likely bring about the darkest of options such as nuclear and biological solutions.lets hope that economic means prevail.

China has already defeated America without firing a shot,
They own our debt.
They can SELL these bonds en mass at any time and flood the market. The only way Bush will be able to sell new ones is by offering a intrest rate so high America goes bankrupt trying to pay it.
Make no mistake, the comming bankruptcy of America will trigger a second civil war here.

As we'll find out in a generation or two, the U.S. won't win a war against a billion Chinese. George W. Bush's illegal, unconstitutional, unjustifiable, immoral 'war' in Iraq has put taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt...and to whom do we owe most of that debt?? CHINA!!
Once China revokes our national credit card, we will not be able to finance our military (just as is the case today in Russia). Once we can't finance our military, China will simply send its billion-man Army over and take whatever it damn well please: our weapons of mass destruction; our banks; our real estate; our natural resources; our military hardware; our oil; even our women if there's a huge demand for western flesh on the international sex-slave market. Think it won't happen? Hah!
Thanks to the Bush family's coziness with China over the past 50 years, America's been sold down the river. The Chinese are a very patient people....it's only a matter of time, but eventually they WILL overpower us and become the world's next super power. I predict it will happen no later than 2060. -RKO- 06/17/07

Most of the Chinese live in cities along the eastern coast. Fire about 25 to 30 nuclear weapons at the population centers and you vaporize half the Chinese population and another couple hundred million will die of radiation poisoning and starvation. This would be mass killing, but in wars of self-preservation, these stakes are a little more acceptable.

I think the Chinese know if that were to happen, a war with the U.S., that it would probably trigger the end of civilization. The Chinese like all their buildings and roads intact.
