Calico ghost town in San Bernardino county. I have been there several times but not for years. Here are three web sites that can give you much more info than I can. It looks like there is camping there but I don't see anything about a hotel!
www.calicotown.com -
www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us/parks/calico.htm
www.calicoghostwalk.com -
There are many more sites and I remember this being a blast. Gun fights in the streets and creepy old buildings with dangerous mines etc. it was great

Jason my Mom said there's this "Ghost town" called: "Scotty's Castle" somewhere between San Bernardino, and Los Angeles somewhere, but she wasn't sure if it had a Motel or a Bed & Breakfast there. So maybe since my Mom is in her "70s" they've built a few of everything in this Ghost town since the last time she visited, many years ago. Check them out. Otherwise if your feeling like traveling a bit further, to another near by state, Arizona has a small Ghost town called "Oatman" and it does have hotels, and shops and you can even get your "Cowboy days" type of photo's with your whole family done there.....Plus they have wild burrow's walking all around the streets that you can feed carrots too, and in the summertimes they have "Egg Frying" contest, right on the sidewalks!! It's really a pretty neat little town, to visit!! In fact its only about 1 hour from Laughlin Nevada!! If that helps you at all. And off of the 40 freeway. There's this really cool little mountain on the way there, that has built in steps up the side of this one mountain and at the top of the side of these steps there's a little "Goldfish pond" !! We think the Hualapai Indian's made these steps, because we live really close to Oatman, and we have a street called Hualapai, and we also have the Hualapai Mountain's right up the street from our houses!! Which are really nice!! And for the High desert it gets snow up here, plus we have Laughlin's Gambling Casino's only 45 minutes away from us!!! So, we're right in the middle of the tri-state area, and have the best of both worlds, here in Kingman Arizona!!! I love it here!! I'm originally from Long Beach California.... But moved here because alot of my family began moving here back in the mid-90s..... So, this is home to us now!! I'll take Kingman over Long Beach anyday, now .... Sorry for getting all side tracked on you there!! So, check out Scotty's Castle and see if they have some sort of "Bed & Breakfast" or anything to stay over!! Good Luck to you hun!! Smile!! Oh, and have tons of Fun for us here on Y/A!!!
