I bought 100 percent cocnut oil, there are no preservatives, does this mean bacteria and fungi can grow in it?

i have to dip my finger in the jar, will things grow in the oil if there is nothing to prevent it

It could...keep it refrigerated after opening.

I'm not an expert on microbiology-- but my understanding is that the oil will just go bad (rancid) sooner.
