First past the post or proportional representation.

Must have worded this question very badly. Don't care which side of politics you come from or whether you are happy or not with your present government.
As a matter of interest Britain has a first past the post system and Australia has proportional representation.Whether or not they are monarchies is irrelevent.

The first thing that needs to be done is an analysis of the people.
How are they organized now?
How long have they been without a government?
What is the population?

The second step would be to find out what the people think and how they would feel about the government being established.
RULE: It's about them. Make sure they know and understand what is going on.
If they people in charge use the "first past the post", it may not necessarily be the best for the people. That could lead to revolt, separation, war, etc.

There are many types of government, and they all work with a certain populus. Keep in mind - monarchy worked for England, but not for the U.S.

The way the people that sign the Constitution had the best idea of a great government. A limited government. A government of laws. Yet the courts, The liberals in the congress and senate along with the liberal media have bastardized the the Constitution to no end. It is funny they can find things that aren't in it and omitt the things that are. Like the abortion issue being a womans right. They say that it is in there but I can't find it. Also they keep omitting the last part of the second admendment where it says the right of the individual to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

A Free man needs no government. Only to live a free life and give the same freedom to others. The right to Life & property. If you take the same from another person, you give up such rights.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner.

If democracy is so good, lets let the 1 Billion Chinese vote for us. Surly the majority would make the best decision.

Democracy sucks, look what it got us. I like the idea of Plato's Republic better, where you have an academy that trains leaders from a very early age to be selfless and wise and to make rational decisions, then you give them power. Democracy was a cute idea but the idea is to have a good government, not an evil one and our system clearly gives us evil leaders and leadership.
