How to check for negative air pressure in your house??? was my first thread. this continues my spit on this.

I called em on phone, told heat comes from upper vents going backwards. Kinda like negative pressure effects is what im thinking. He figures maybe 30% air leaking at duct. I know this. Why didnt you fix it before u put in the A COIL? After would be the wrong time. PHFFF......
Anyway tech later comes and changes start capacitor and decides that thermostat needs replacing. ALL GOOD! and left.
So I ask them (older Parents) what he fixed. Thats what they told me. ERGGG!! WHAT ABOUT LEAK! Its peaing me off they slapped this a/c in there and didnt work the ducts sys over as they should have. Just made it run. CAN U FEEL THE NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN THE HOUSE.

Negative pressure will make exterior doors want to suck open. It will suck air in from outside.

Positve pressure makes exterior doors want to blow closed and a bit harder to open. Positive pressure will push inside air to the outside.

A simple tester, a roll of bathroom tissue.

Close all the exterior doors and windows in the home. Turn on the unit or at least the circulating fan. Take a four foot strip of tissue and go to one of the exterior door. Open the door and hang the tissue down. If it sucks into the house; negative pressure. If it blows out the house, positive pressure. If it hangs in place, balanced system.
