As a matter of fact I have. It was when I was in college. This very tall and husky lad, fell over and was convulsing. No one went to his aid, so I ran over and immediately knew what was wrong. He was having an epileptic seizure, plus he had cut open his head and was bleeding profusely. Take make a long story short, I took charge, I had training so I knew what I was doing. Sad to see how people stand back and won't help someone.

Once I sorta did. We were at the beach at a park at Lake Superior. The 2 yr old grandson went out pretty far. Water stays fairly shallow for a long way at that park. I called for him to come back, but, being two, he took that to mean he didn't have to listen. Ran out further.
I kicked off my shoes, ran in, clothes & all. He'd gotten knocked off his little feet by a wave & tried twice to get on his feet again with no success.
He was mighty glad to see Grandma coming, reached out his little hand for me. So, I sorta saved him.

Once while on my lunch break, a student at a school I was teaching at ran through a glass door and severed a major artery in his arm. It was spurting all over me and I had to pull him to the ground because he was so panicked. Once I had him down, I applied deep pressure to the artery until the paramedics arrived. They told me later I had saved his life. After he left in the ambulance, I stumbled to my classroom where my aide calmly looked at my blood-soaked clothes and commented, "Interesting lunch?"

Indirectly a few, I guess.
I did go out there and embarrassed myself asking uncaring people to donate to charities dedicated to helping the chronically ill.

Even if I have I wouldn't take credit for something that has such value to it. I have on the other hand helped a few people mend their life.

I saved a little girl from drowning by grabbing her up out of a very strong current, then I fell into them...scared me to death but I managed to get to some old limbs and get out.
