And what was the Republican response to them. I am also looking for information about allegations that the Bush Administration was warned about 9/11 through various intelligence reports, but chose not to read them and remained on vacation, reading the reports after the matter. And please reply post haste, as I have a deadline here at the Daily Planet.

Thanks,
Jimmy Olsen

If you are truly interested in knowing use the legal process to obtain any documents under the Freedom of Information Act. I don't really think this venue will provide you with an answer.

If this is just another "I'll take a jab at you" fake question to try to incite both sides - gosh, sounds like you're trying to start a war - I hope you grow up sometime soon.

It would be refreshing to come to this forum & find the REAL issues of the day being discussed instead of missiles flying back & forth.

-January 23, 1995 Executive Order 12947 "Prohibiting Transactions With Terrorists Who Threaten To Disrupt the Middle East Peace Process," provided for prevention and punishment of efforts to fund terrorism and authorized the FBI and Treasury Department to investigate and prevent financial support of terrorism.

-ordered a "terrorism threat assessment of every federal facility in the country," which had "already begun" when, in February 1995, the Clinton Administration introduced a counter-terrorism bill in the Senate (S. 390) and the House of Representatives (H.R. 896)

-Echelon- wasn't ok for Clinton to do it, but would have probably prevented 9/11, but is ok for Bush Jr. to do so after 9/11 while conventional methods have thwarted most threats since 9/11

-The Effective Death Penalty and Antiterrorism Act of 1995

-proposals for stricter security on airlines.

all which where trimmed to almost being useless by republican dominated congress, so they could use mass media to try to blame clinton and democrats for not doing enough to prevent 9/11, when actually they were to blame. they finally enacted the Clinton proposals after they were caught with their pants down on September 11th, acting as if they were an original idea coming from Bush.

Rumsfeld and Rice, tried to slash anti-terror funding and claimed terrorism wasn't their responsibility

Bush ignored Clinton admin's warning about Al Queda, so he could get us stuck in a civil war in Iraq.

isn't it quite odd how the republicans claim the trade tower bombing that occured 1.5 months after Clinton took office, is was Clinton's fault, and not Daddy Bush's, while 9/11/2001 occured almost 9 months after Bush jr. took office, and is the fault of the President that had been out of office for 9 months??

Bill did nothing that I remember. That was a lie from the far left to make Bush look bad. Jimmy, we do not trust newspapers anymore. They are owned by the far left and no longer tell us the truth and give only there side of any issue. They hate Bush and will do and say anything to discredit him. Yes, and FDR knew about Pearl Harbor. These people think Saddam was a saint. Peace

don't strain yourself looking Jimmy..

Clinton prefered Executive Orders and the one he did submit in 1995 as law primarily cleared the way for him to take control of certain civil rights in the event of a national emergency..which ironically was the same issue that dems screamed about in the Patriot Act..which ran the course through Congress and was out there for debate..by all.

There wasn't any. It was treated as a police matter. Jamie Garlic imposed restrictions on communications between depts. making intelligence impossible.
I remember hearing that there was warning to Bush about bin ladin, but they had NO specific information to go on.
