1. Dress appropriate...shorts and t-shirts.
2. Bring your personal things such as money and cell phone in a purse or backpack.
3. If you're babysitting at someone's house, talk to the parents about eating with the other children. If that's not acceptable or allowed, bring your own snacks.
4. If you're at someone's house, there should already be toys for the children. You don't need to purchase or bring other toys.
5. You can do either a flat rate, or by the hour. Just make sure whomever kids you're watching know this, and agree to pay whatever you're asking. Try to make it reasonable. $20 for watching kids 8 hours seems sufficient for a teenager.

1.I would dress casually but no booby showing shirts or butt cheek flashing shorts.
2. You can bring your phone, so long as you arent on it ignoring the kids the whole time.
3. They will most likely tell you to help yourself to whats in the house, but if you want to be sure bring a small coller with some stuff.
4. The kids will have the toys provided by there parents, dont bring them because they may not be age appropriete, and the parent may not want there kids playing with them.
5. I would go with hourly, the going rate for your age group, is about 3-5 dollars per hour, and the flat rate depends on the amount of time the parent is gone, and if its night, and what your responsbilities will be. I would stick with an hourly rate.

1- Always have a jacket with you in case it cools down or rains and dress in layers. You could always throw an extra set into your backpack just in case something happens to the clothes your wearing.
2- Cellphones are great for safety reasons so yes take yours with you. You never know if you might have to leave if there's a fire or another emergency. It's good to always have at least $20 on you (at least I think so) I use it if I need to take a cab or for an emergency.
3- Ask the parents if you need to make meals for the children and I'm sure they won't mind if you eat a little bit (I wouldn't anyways). But if you want, bring something to munch on in case you don't like the food they have.
4- I'd be careful about bringing toys for the kids and if you do, ask the parents if they approve of that certain toy. We have a rule in our house that Bratz are not allowed.
5- I pay our babysitters min. wage/hour plus cab home if parents aren't able to pick them up. For one of our regular babysitters, I pay a bit more sometimes if they've done housework.

As a long time babysitter I would say..
1. Wear something comfortable for playing with the kids but nothing to hot. Maybe shorts and a tank top, not too short or too low cut!!
2. You can carry a purse and leave it in the house.
3. Usually parents will provide something for you to eat. I've had a lot of parents who say help yourself to anything.
4. You can, it usually impresses parents, but they will have plenty of toys at the house.
5. By the hour, and because you are thirteen I would say charge around $5 or $6 an hour and as you get older increase that.

1.) play shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, socks, hair in ponytail
2.) both. but put on a high shelf or on top of fridge. dont let them see where you put it either. dont make it obvious.
3.) own snack.
4.) i'd bring a coupld small ones in a bag. but bring them out one by one. then you can make each toy be more interesting for a longer amount of time.
5.) by the hour def.
depends on the kid
good luck and hope i helped! =)

Dress in normal length shorts and a t-shirt or something comfortable but not too sexy. I wouldn't take money or phone. They should have food, but if you take something, take enough for kids, too. They have toys. People in Wa. are getting $7.00 - $10.00 per hour depending on how many kids.
