This question can mean many different things due to lack of brackets. I would suggest that many different answers will be received due to this .
Will take a guess ( and it is no more than a guess) that question is:-
(w - 9) / (5w + 35) - (w + 4) / (6w + 42)
= (w - 9) / 5.(w + 7) - (w + 4) / 6.(w + 7)
= [ 6.(w - 9) - 5.(w + 4) ] / [ 30.(w + 7) ]
= (w - 74) / [ 30.(w + 7) ]

P.S. Remember the brackets!
