I have always liked tetras for a community tank. Active, colorful, peaceful and cheap... what more could anyone ask?

I would go for some red tailed-sharks because they can be very entertaining to watch in that kind of tank. These fish are very hardy and do not require a whole lot of maintenance. I would also look into some Barbs or Danios as well to go with them. If you are into breeding fish then I would try a female and male black convicts (just two by themselves).
