JESUS CHRIST!!! Most definitely!!!!
I mean, seriously, who could be greater than someone who let themselves get CRUCIFIED just so we could go live with Him in Heaven??? Now that is freakin' awesome!!!!!

I would have to say Julius Caesar for several reasons. First, he conquered France and part of Germany thereby giving more cultural impact to Rome and thereby the Mediterranean World. Second, he shook the foundation of the Roman republic and formed the Roman Empire (Even though he would not claim the crown). Third, he created a 365 day calendar, created new bills for the poor, gave the people more power over their government.
My list after him would be:
1) Alexander the Great
2) Genghis Khan
3) Charlamagne
4) William Wallace
5) Queen Elizabeth 1
6) Creators of the Magna Carta
7) George Washington
8) Writers of the Declaration of Independence
9) Writers of the Constitution
10) Theodore Roosevelt
11) Franklin Roosevelt
12) All philosophers, scientists, alchemists, artists, musicians, great thinkers, and engineers
Yes Jesus is on my list but I don't consider him the most important in history. In Christianity yes

Jesus Christ...
He was the beginning of the New Covenant that would free people from the bondages of sin and He sacrificed Himself for that. Buddha never did it and neither did Muhammad.

The person with the biggest impact was probably Jesus Christ.
Of non-religious figures, I would say Julius Caeser.

Alexander the great. With in the age of 32 he has conquered half the world and came up to India with a small force. He defeated much larger armies and was considerate in treating them. He was so great in releasing the Indian king in his last war and restored his kingdom in appreciation of his valor.Unlike Arabs and Mongols who destroyed everything they came across.

Jesus Christ. He created the world, he provided for the salvation of the world, he is the coming King of Kings of he World. All of history from Genesis to Revelation is the revealing of Christ in history from it's beginning to it's end.
