You need a lot of help. I will do my best. The President was sued. Let's say the President is Nixon and he is the defendant. Fitgerald will be the plaintiff. Let's say Fitzgerald sues Nixon claiming that he lost his position as a contractor with the United States Air Force because of testimony made before Congress in the 1970's. Now let's say Nixon argues that a President cannot be sued for actions taken while in office. Imagine the trial and appellate court rejected the President's claim of immunity and the case went to the Supreme Court. Now what do you do? I think you are on your own. If they ask you if President Nixon was sued you say yes. In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that the President is entitled to absolute immunity from liability for damages based on his official acts.

The President can not be sued while in office. If the President could, then Bill Clinton would have had a thousand laws suits. This is really a ridiculous question and it sounds like it came from an uneducated Progressive who graduated from the University of Stalingrad. The answer is NO. Why don't you look into the possibility of suing the Democrat Prosecutor NIFONG, in the Duke University scandal. Nifong is going to face numerous law suits against his Democrat BUTT.

Well, It's called impeached. And really that's just up for debate. If you think that the President has broken International Law (with the war in Iraq) or some kind of other law, then your answer would be yes and you'd have to, in your paper, describe in what ways the laws were broken. I personally do not think that the President should be impeached but that's just my opinion there are so many people that do think he should be. I'm sorry I'm not going to give you the facts for your final, you should have prepared for that a LONG time ago.

Obviously, the present sue happy litigation community in this nation will sue for anything that smells of money.
I can think of no better way to make the job of president even more impossible than it already is than to subject it to the whims of lawyers.
No, the president should not be sued. We have safeguards built into the system to handle any criminal activities he may engage in - but to subject him to the possibility of a lawsuit every time he makes a decision is ludicrous and counter productive.

We cannot sue a president of the United States, read the Constitution; we can impeach him. This provision shows that our forefathers were very learned scholars that were very well informed in starting a country as we know it, even today.

Most schools are very liberal so if you want a good grade you will argue that "yes, the President should be sued" (what a STUPID subject. You can't sue the President , he has total immunity)
reasons for it? I have no idea- throw in the liberal favorites such as he never won the first election, Congress never declared this war, he's a liar, etc. etc.

yes the president can be sued, Pres. Clinton was sued by Paula Jones on sexual harsment. so for personal matters the president can be sued. for matters of policy no the president can not be sued. if the president signs a law the law can be brought into court to judge its constitionality of it. if the presidents does something wrong and tries to hide evidence, he can be brought into court to disclose the evidence.

No. I would give a reason, but I don't see why in the hell you would sue someone you voted into office (or didn't vote at all).

You need standing and proof of harm, which you really would have neither.

"I don't like him" wouldn't fly with a judge, and "Iraq is bad" (even though I don't see how its Bush's fault that Islamic militants hate the West...) would probably end up with you being clubbed by the bailiff for being incompetent.

No you can't, but then it would be nice if he could sue the americans who are saying a lot of the terrible things they are about him.....

He did not act recklessly in the classroom with the children, why upset the kids? they did nothing......but I saw his reaction and it was hard for him to just sit there.....

He did not plan 9-11 like he's been accused......

He is not a war criminal like he's been accused, he's defending America!!!!!!!!!

You used the word sue so the answer would most likely be no if you are speaking of some action he took in office.
If you mean impeach then you should ask your question again.
