star wars is really good. the older ones are probably better, they're a lot more tame. and since he's eight, he can handle the small amount of blood and gore in the movies without having nightmares about it.
coming from personal experience, i babysit an 8 year old who loves to watch Toy Story and Shrek. He's addicted to pixar movies.

Flushed away is a good one, also any of the Shrek movies. The 3 Ninjas (any of the many) was a favorite with all 3 of my boys. Angels In The Outfield, Rookie Of The Year are good too.

Star Wars.
Star wars is the greatest, most entertaining and fun story for people of ALL ages. I'm 19 and I love star wars, I have friends that are 40 that love it and I know children that are 5 years old and love it.
No sex, no cursing, just great characters, plot lines and wonderful entertainment!
