My son currently wears a 16W shoe size. He needs to buy work shoes that are rated on a E system (i.e., E, EE, EEE). What E size is the same width as a W width we have been buying?

From what I've seen on www.zappos.com & from this article http://shoes.about.com/od/mens_size_charts/a/men_width.htm

E = wide
EE = extra wide
EEE = triple extra wide

Best thing to do is to look at manufacturer's web site & see if there's a customer service contact phone number.
