In America: right ear = gay
In UK: left ear = gay
Anyway, what does this have to do with Earth Science?

Since this is the Earth Science and Geology Section I will give you the Earth Science and Geology Answer. If a guy wears an ear ring he is gay. It doesn't matter which ear it is.

Both. But that's kinda an obsolete thought.
The Left is ok for straights...traditionally.
the Right is the "gay" one.
