I use front loading washers at my local laundromat. All the front loading washers either say "double load" or "triple load".

I often times use the triple load machine because I'm afraid that I'd be packing too much laundry in the double load machine.

Is it okay to fill the machine to the top or should I fill it to only two thirds or even just to half way?

You should fill it with clothes loosely not packing them for better results.

a domestic front loader takes between 6kilos and 7.5 kilos of dry weight clothes depending on model .you should also balance the load by not putting to many of the same articles in in one go e,g all towels or jeans ,so in answer to your question in the laundry mat they are industrial washers an can take an even bigger wash load that you will calculate yourself either double 6kilos or 7,5 kilos .

Loosely fill the washer but do not pack it full.
