How do I change the default font size on the desktop on Mac OS X Version 10.3.9?

I am using Mac OS X (version 10.3.9). There is a default font for desktop item names like "Macintosh HD" and "Trash" etc. I would like to change it and make it larger. Is this possible to do and how do I do it?

You should beable to go to Safari and click on preferences and then once there, go to appearance.
