When you were upset or depressed how did your partner try to cheer you up?

It's very hard for him to surprise me. He did get one by me though, a card he made especially for me. It Say's "Bear With Me Honey" with a Teddy Bear on it wearing sun glasses, in jeans, with a heart tattooed on it's arm. I thought that was sweet and unexpected.

My partner was so very intuative that he almost always knew when I was upset or depressed before I did. Sometimes he'd create a "fight" so that we could make up..
The best gift he gave me for 16 years, during the good and bad times was himself..unconditionally.

We had just settled into our first house and we still didnt have a tv. It was way down on the list of necessities. One night-my husband came home with a beautiful set under his arm-with a big bow yet. It made up for the ladder he bought me for Mother's Day.

This may not sound like much but this guy was very unintimate: One day I was very upset and crying and he came over and gave me a hug and talked to me until I felt better.

A warm bath with sprigs of mint and lavender, Rose pettles on the bed, Bendicks mints on the pillow, a warm bed and lots of kisses

When I was taking the bar exam on the opposite coast from where we lived, my girlfriend FedExed me an envelope containing a small stuffed animal for luck, some chocolate for energy, and a short but heartfelt note expressing her love and confidence. It was unexpected and totally awesome.

I got really sick at work, found out I was starting to have migraines (probably from my job at the time) and ended up getting a spinal tap to make sure it wasn't something more serious. My boyfriend got me an Aloe plant, made me the nicest dinner, and just took care of me. It was very sweet and he helped my migraine (along with the meds) go away quickly. :)

I was upset because she had to go away on business and when I got home she had left little sticky notes in various places telling me that she loved me. Each time I found one it made me happy!

My wife surprised em at work on my birthday (this was before we were married). She first went to my apartment and dusted and vaccuumed and all that. Then she went out and bought me flowers and brought them to me at work as a surprise. It was very sweet.
